Base of consists of 3 legs that fit together with biscuit joints. The left and right base legs hold the center leg in place through the notched cut-outs in the center leg. Once the base of the display tree has been assembled, it is perfectly stable and ready for the shelves to be attached. The shelves slide into the pre-cut holes in the display tree and are kept in place by a compression button.
